Purchasing the Parts

I have purchased some of the parts needed for the Machine.
Firstly I got the computer that will run MAME and the ROMs. I got a computer with the bare basic system requirements as you don’t need a lot to run MAME and the games.

The specs are:
Dell Optiplex GX270 P4 2.8GHz Desktop Computer
• Intel P4 2.8GHz processor
• 40GB hard drive
• DVD drive
• 64MB Integrated Intel 845 Graphics video
• Integrated audio
• Integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet

As for the Monitor I will be using an old Dell 17? CRT monitor temporarily until I can get a larger size monitor.

As for the controller I will be using the pre built X-Arcade Dual Tankstick controller. This controller has 2 tanksticks with Player 1 and 2 Buttons. Each player has 8 buttons with an additional 2 buttons on the sides for pinball games.

Pictures of the X-Arcade Controller will be added here when it is delivered.

Mame Arcade Machine

In the near future I will be purchasing the parts to make my MAME arcade machine. For those who don’t know MAME stands for Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. Its software that’s used to emulate lots of the classic arcade games from the 70s to the modern era. This blog will go through each step as I make the Arcade machine.
